초록

본 연구는 현대인의 심리 위기에 대한 대응 방안으로 불교의 자기성찰과 다도의 인성교육 가치에 주목하고, 불교와 다도의 융합 연구 동향을 분석하여 향후 발전 방향을 모색하였다. 이를 위해 2000년부터 2025년 8월까지 학술연구정보서비스(RISS)에 수록된 불교와 다도 관련 논문 55편을 선정하여 발표 연도, 문헌 유형, 연구 주제, 연구자 소속을기준으로 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 관련 연구는 초기 석사학위논문 중심에서 박사학위논문과 학술지 논문으로 확대되며 성장하였다. 주요 연구는 고려시대 불교 차문화와 선승의 다도 정신이 한국 차문화의 정체성 형성에 미친 영향을 규명한 역사∙인물 연구에 집중되었다. 또한 차생활과 수행의 접목을 통해 불교 정신을 일상에서 실천하는 방안이 제시되었으며, 동국대학교와 원광대학교 등 종립대학을 중심으로 학술 담론이 형성된 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 불교 차문화가 현대사회의 심리적 소외와 단절을 완화하는 실천 자원이 될 수 있으며, 다선일미 정신을 기반으로 K-컬처의 정신문화 콘텐츠로 발전할 잠재력을 지님을 시사한다.

This study examines Buddhist method of self-reflection and the value of dado for education on one’s personal character as potential responses to the age of psychological crises of modern-day life. This paper analyzes research trends on the integration of Buddhism and dado and identifies directions for future research. A total of fifty-five studies published between the year 2000 and 2025, indexed in the Research Information Sharing Service, were analyzed. Findings indicate that the field has expanded steadily, moving from early master's theses to doctoral dissertations and journal articles. Existing scholarship has focused primarily on historical periods and human figures, particularly the influence of Goryeo Buddhist tea culture and dado philosophy of Seon/Zen on the formation of Korean cultural identity. Another group of studies proposes integrating the performance of tea ceremony with Buddhist cultivation as a means of embodying Buddhist princi-ples in everyday life. Academic discourse on this matter has developed largely at Buddhist-affiliated universities, particularly Dongguk University and Wonkwang University. These findings suggest that Buddhist tea culture may serve as a practical resource for alleviating issues of psychological alienation and social isolation. The findings also offer potentials for the development of K-culture content rooted in tea ceremony and Seon/Zen meditation.
